04:04 pm - Pinewoods & Ogontz
ESS at Pinewoods- it was awesome! Everyone was so great. I got to know Liz better, meet Ellie's cousin, and hang out with Ellie and Emma. I was the 1st deer in the Abbot's Brohmley thing. I've been the 5th/6th deer (I can't remember which) and the archer before. The last night was the best, with the ceili (or however that's spelled) sets, and playing cards. Me and Emma organized a kerry set demonstration that was supposed to be like what we (Emma wasn't there though) did at Ogontz, where it was like a party, but we just did the kerry sets, which is what a ceili night is---a party with dancing. (we didn't do the ceili sets at ceili night, don't ask why, because I don't know) The ceili night at ESS was like a cabaret night, with everyone watching, so doing the kerry sets there was kind of humiliating.
FW1 at Ogontz- it was really good, not quite as good as ESS, but really good. We played Pounce, and the Cold Wind Blows, both of which are very fun . Most of my friends there (besides Tasha, of course) were on crew. I didn't go up the river this time--I've only ever gone with Ellie, and it just felt wrong to go without her. We did kerry sets there, too, which was much more like what we had in mind. We didn't have to make up the figures this time, though. The last night we stayed up until 2 in the morning. We were playing backwards charades, and my friend Jennifer was trying to make us guess 'pyre.' She told us it rhymed with 'fire,' and Brian, Nathanial, Gretchen, Alison and me spent about 15 minutes trying to act out 'shire.' It was so funny, we were acting out the whole Lord of the Rings movie. (well, practically)
